Doug Mayes
President (Senior Estimator/Project Manager)
Doug began as a field apprentice in 1974 and became an estimator in 1978. Doug has successfully bid and obtained work for over 44 years.
Benjamin Mayes
Vice President
With Ben’s field insulation installation experience, he has the background to provide estimating and project management skills that provide practicality and common sense to field applications. He has well over 25 years of experience in the industry.
Albert Sumar
Estimator/Project Manager/Quality Control
Albert brings years of experience with a local mechanical engineering firm to the table. He offers insight into both the design and construction installation. He has over 14 years of construction estimating
experience.
R. Scott Smith
Field Superintendent
Scott has over 33 years experience in all aspects of the installation of mechanical insulation and has worked up the ranks to become Field Superintendent for Breeding Insulation in 2007. He has a solid background in the management of field personnel.
Mikey Rogers
Sales Manager
Mikey has field installation experience as well, which provides a wealth of knowledge in assisting our customers with procuring the right products for the job.
Our History
Adolphus Mayes, our Founder – had over 55 years in mechanical insulation installation. He began in 1954 as a field apprentice and went on to become a journeyman and then field superintendent. He became the branch manager for the then-multi-location Breeding Insulation Corporation in 1977. In 1984 he was able to purchase the Knoxville office branch. It was his honesty and vision for quality workmanship with his customers that has carried Breeding Insulation Knoxville to its current success, and will continue to guide the company in the future.
